The Inspiration
Dr. Yugandhar's journey took a new direction when he visited his hometown, Nalagampalli, with his children. Once filled with pride, he narrated stories of his childhood village to them, but he was shocked at the stark reality that greeted him during his visit. The village, once thriving, was now grappling with deteriorating cleanliness, unhygienic conditions, and a lack of basic communal well-being. While the villagers accepted these conditions as the norm, citing government inaction, Dr. Yugandhar saw a deeper problem—the erosion of collective responsibility and active participation.
What truly struck him was the legacy of his father, S. Ramakrishna, who played a critical role in developing the community during his tenure as MPTC and in other leadership capacities. Known for his unwavering service and innovative approaches, S. Ramakrishna brought the villagers together to maintain a sense of unity and responsibility, encouraging projects like cleanliness drives and local development during the "Janma Bhoomi" initiative. His father’s contributions became a catalyst for Dr. Yugandhar's own vision, inspiring him to revive this spirit of community engagement in the modern era.
